ORDERING AND SHIPPING POLICY
Every rug purchased from RugSmart is eligible for free shipping within the continental U.S. Because of the current economic and manufacturing climate, some shipments could arrive within 15 to 21 business days instead of the normal 7 - 14 business days normally via FedEx Ground or else via UPS. Most rugs are in stock at our supplier's or manufacturer's warehouses. When orders are placed, we submit a purchase order direct to our supplier for shipping direct to our customer. If the supplier or manufacturer is unable to fulfill an order within 21 business days of the order, we will contact you by email with a backorder date for your approval.
At any time a backorder may be canceled and full refund requested. See Refund Policy.
Custom rugs take 3 to 16 weeks to produce. Made-to-order (MTO) rugs take 7-21 days to produce. Custom and made-to-order rugs are not refundable.
When you place your order, your credit card will be charged on the date of the order, not on the date of shipping.
OVERSIZED ITEMS: These items may be shipped via a trucking or LTL carrier. These carriers differ from the smaller parcel carriers as they typically offer curbside only service. You will be responsible for getting the item into the home or office. You might be called ahead for a delivery appointment. These appointments usually are offered during the standard business week with a time span of a few hours.
INSPECTING YOUR PACKAGE: Make sure you inspect your package before you sign for it. If you receive your product and the package shows any signs of damage. Please clearly write that on anything you sign and note it with the carrier. This helps to insure the carrier will be responsible for the damage if the damage extends into the product.

The information needed to determine shipping cost is an exact shipping address including the postal code plus item number, color, size and, if possible, the Brand (manufacturer).
After receiving a reply from Rugsmart with the shipping cost and when placing the order through the web-site, please include in the "Comment" section that you approve of the additional cost for shipping.
When completing the shipping address on the web-order, insert for the "State" one of the abbreviations for a U.S. state (such as TX for Texas, FL for Florida, etc but do not use GA for Georgia). The change to your correct address will be made at RugSmart. We apologize for this "glitch" in the system.
If you are unable to order a rug through our web-site, which sometimes happens, e-mail RugSmart to that effect and the web-site will be corrected.
Under no circumstance should you ever e-mail your credit card number because e-mails are not secure.
CUSTOMS FEE AND TAXES: Customs fees and taxes will be added to your invoice if they may apply and may not show up on your initial receipt. A copy of these charges will be sent to you for your records. Please contact us with any questions or concerns regarding these fees.
