Almost all manufacturers produce machine-made rugs. Tufted rugs follow next in the number of manufacturers. Tufted rugs can be manufactured by machine or by “hand” meaning the hand holding a fiber-injecting gun. Then there are other manufacturing methods but they only account for a very small percentage of the market such as hand-knotted, braided, hooked and knitted rugs among others.
